Your Experience at The Healing Center

You pull into the shady parking lot where you are greeted by gardens and flowering trees around the cozy cottage that houses The Healing Center. In the warmly lit lobby, you may encounter either my smiling face or that of one of my fellow practitioners.

I'll lead you back to my treatment room and you'll have a seat on a comfy couch where you remove your footwear, and I will set you up with a warm, aromatherapy foot-bath to pre-relax you before your massage. An air purifier hums softly nearby. If you are new, you'll fill out a Confidential Intake form so I have a clear understanding of your health. We will discuss where you feel tension or pain, etc. and plan our goal for that day's massage. I'll take a few notes while you enjoy the ambiance of the room. I'll dry your feet, and excuse myself to wash my hands while you get ready for your massage.

You climb into the inviting sheets and blankets of the massage table, where, if it isn't the peak of summer, the table is gently warmed by a heating pad for maximum coziness. You enjoy the soft light coming in the windows and glowing from the salt lamp. Soothing music plays.

I'll massage you, using natural oils, my strong anatomical knowledge, intuition, and over twenty-five years of experience. We'll soothe your nervous system, your tight muscles and even your mood. Guided by your preference, we may chat, or might stay silent during the massage.

After the massage, once you are up and dressed, I will come back and teach you any relevant stretches, remind you to drink plenty of water the rest of the day, or perhaps encourage you to ice an area that received a lot of work. You'll pay, and we will schedule your next treatment as needed.
